My name is Venus Erotes. Okay, not really. I've changed it here to protect those I love. I'm a mom of two children in middle school and I love them tremendously. I am married to a wonderful, warm hearted man who was sexually abused by a camp counselor at 12 years old. Our marriage is a partnership, and a very good partnership at that. It is not, and in hindsight never really was, a romantic relationship. I'm a human being that needs physical touch, which is near non existent in my marriage. A couple of years ago I started to embark on my personal journey of figuring out who I am. I'm still on that journey. One thing I've learned about myself - I LOVE SEX. I love to talk about it, discuss it, joke about it, and bring it out into the light so it's not a hushed subject. I've always known - I HATE SEX ABUSE. It's a natural response for most I am sure, but being married to a survivor gives me a unique perspective in regards to how it affects my family and also my friends. As with all things sexual, we need to talk about sex abuse so that we can prevent it from happening to our children. I am more than happy to engage in conversations about either of these topics. That's part of what this blog is all about. Engaging anyone and everyone who wants to talk about Sex - The Great, the Bad, and the Ugly. We can all learn from the experiences of others and sharing them in an anonymous forum I hope will cause a discussion in your home, with your partners and friends.
